Visit with Gary
Last night we lingered over dinner. Enjoying wonderful conversation, good organic white wine (Debbie friendly - thanks to Gary), and a brilliant steak dinner cooked by Chef Pierre. It felt so great we were convinced that it was really Friday night.
Gary was in town for business and took the time to drive allllllll the way up the mountain to visit with us. We looked at pictures of his beautiful and all grown-up family (except for the last one of course :-) and shared some stories. Gary and Pete took the time to explain to Matt and I the difference in common pension plans and we all agree that we can't afford to get any older.
Gary looks just great and it was wonderful to see him but timing is everything. I couldn't help but think how much better it might have been had he had this business trip a couple of weeks ago! I know he would have really enjoyed seeing all his siblings at the same time. He did however, see the pictures and we bored him to tears with our Tremblant slide show - but we did the same with all of you too!
Anyhow, off to get ready for my class' Christmas performance this evening. They are putting on the play Oliver! I'm really looking forward to going - it means I don't have to do Christmas cards for a while.
Much love,
Debbie
